Life Updates

a day in the life

Hello!

It’s been a while since I just sat down and wrote out a blog about my life. I’ve been doing a lot of reviews about technology and random items and posts about my websites and I wanted something different to post to the website. 🙂 I want this blog to be more casual than the other blogs I’ve posted here.

Well, I’m pretyping this blog up and will update it (will be shown when I do) in the future (before it posts) but I wanted to get it typed up that way if I didn’t have anything to add, I could at least get this up while I was busy with life itself.

With that said, I wanted to give some updates about what is going on in my offline life. Well, if you don’t already know (are new here, haven’t met me, etc.) I work at Best Buy. Best Buy (about a year go) created these mini-call centers in some of their stores that handle some of the stores calls in their region. I live in Jacksonville, Florida and there are 6 stores in our region. I take calls for 5 of them. The other one is done by a call center in southern Georgia. Weirdly enough, it isn’t the one on the northside, it is one near the center of Jax. It makes no sense. I don’t make the rules though. LOL

Anyway, this means I’m on/near a computer all day. It is mentally exhausting because of all of the customers that thing they should be first in line because they called in on the phone rather than come into the store and a lot of the same questions. “Do you have the solar eclipse glasses at your store or any store?” “Do you have the switch in stock?” “Do you sell __ ?” That last one is the most aggravating because you could just go to the website on your phone and search for it online to see if we sell it. I get the question about asking stock but asking if we sell something? Really? I just want to scream. BLAH.

It is just annoying, if you get my drift. At the end of the day I’m more tired than I was when I was on the floor. I was more physically exhausted then.1  The worst part though is because I’m not burning those extra calories from standing up all day, I am gaining more weight. I am 5′ 3″ and 215lbs. I don’t go by BMI but according to that I’m obese. It is horrible. My goal weight (starting small) is 180lbs. The problem is I eat horribly. I eat when I’m bored, I eat when I’m upset… I eat when __. It sucks and I need to get that under control.

Well, starting today, I’m getting that under control. I’m eating better and eating smaller portions. I’m using meal replacement shakes and water as my go to. Follow me on Twitter if you want to see the day-to-day progress. I’ve already started making sure I eat 3 meals a day. I stop eating when I am full and not stuffed. Though my sister and I have been eating out more it is to places like Applebee’s and Red Robin. So, not terrible but healthier that what I usually eat (processed foods).

I also tried to finally list my Galaxy S8+ and Gear S3 Classic on Swappa. I had to list them separately which is why I haven’t done it yet. They will be listed until they sell or Swappa cancels the listings. If you look at the Galaxy S8+ listings where I am listed (under T-Mobile) right now there are 57 listings (including mine). So I don’t think it is going to sell but I’m hoping it does. I’m going to use that money to pay down my Pixel XL. It kind of makes me sad and happy that it won’t sell. It not selling means I definitely can’t get the Pixel 2 (unless my Pixel XL sells) but also means I get to keep that AMAZING screen. Like that screen is crazy.

I have also started advertising my sites as much as I can (which seems to be working). I am also going to start putting up vlogs onto the site and YouTube. These are for the future reviews I will be doing. My reviews will turn into vlogs to keep them separate from my daily life blogs that I decide to do.

Anyway, that’s all I wanted to say. It was nice checking in with you guys! Talk to you later!

Show 1 footnote

  1. I have flat feet so mostly my feet, ankles, and calves hurt. I wasn’t tired, I could still play a full 90 min soccer game afterwards… I just ached.
