Adult-ing is hard work, no complaints here!

Blog College life long blog moving out websites work

Hello!

Long time, no talk! Sorry I’ve been so out of it recently. I’ve just been working a lot. I just recently got a new job working at the ITS Helpdesk @ UNF so I’m working that simultaneously with Best Buy as well as going to school online (only taking 1 class this semester). So, between the 2 jobs I’m finally working full-time again, if not more. I’m not complaining though, I love it!

I’ve finally paid off my WellsFargo credit cards, which I will be closing on Monday. Then I’m going to work on paying off my Best Buy credit card as my Walmart card and Amazon cards all have lower balances. I have about $1,500 worth of credit card debt with 80% of that being on my Best Buy card. I hope to have all my cards paid off before the semester ends (May 1) which really makes me excited cause then I will only have the $5,000+ left for my Corolla which I hope to have paid off by my 24th Bday (2017) which will make me debt free. 😀 I cannot wait until the day I am able to save every penny I make instead of spend it on my car bill. LOL

Anyway, I’ve decided to cancel the legacy challenge I started as I am rarely home when I actually want to play the sims. I’m usually at work. I may start a new one on my laptop though I’m not supposed to  use my laptop during work hours. I haven’t decided yet. I have gotten back into playing the sims 3 with all SPs and all EPs but the Katy Perry EP, Island Paradise, & one other EP that I can’t remember the name of right now. Without any mods or anything as well. So far the game is loading pretty well with all high settings on my asus 2-in-1 laptop. 🙂 I think I may turn some of the settings down/off though as the grass is looking really smooth and odd. I don’t like it, personally.

Anyway, I’m finally moved out in Florida in a home my parents bought and I’m splitting the internet, electricity/water, and gas with my sister. It comes up to be about $350/month for each of us, depending on how expensive the water + electricity is. I’m happy though all of my bettas randomly died in the tank I had set up for them. I’m thinking about switching out and getting guppies but right now my tank is empty and drying out. I’m going to wait until my credit cards are paid off (and possibly until the fall) before I decide if I want to get more fish as I plan to move out of my parents house as soon as I graduate next May (2017). I don’t want to do my internship but it is required for my degree so I’m at a point in my life where I’m like whatever, just get it done with. LOL

That’s all I have to say today! I hope I can find more things to blog about soon!

  1. Good work on getting through your debt. It’s so satisfying to close off credit card accounts and cut those cards up!
I haven’t owned a credit card in over 3 years and it’s nice not to have to think about it.. it also means no impulse buys 😀
Good luck with the new job 🙂

  2. Good luck on being able to pay off all your debt! I hope it works out for you! I was in debt because of stupid impulses (I told my father that it would be for emergency purposes only, then it went from “Oh, just one more.” Lol). OOPS. I finally paid that credit card debt off. I’m so happy. In fact, I believe I had paid it off in 2010-2011ish. Right now, my boyfriend and I are splitting the car payment $430.00 (they went off on my bad credit, and we had to decide whether or not to put an extra year of warranty on it, which is why the amount is so high. Otherwise, we would have gotten a scratched out, 3,000 + miles on the car for $300 something and fix the problems ourselves.) This is what life does to a college student. My boyfriend and I are both going full-time. I have 1 1/2 years left before I get my associates in Internet Authoring.

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear that all your betas passed away! I hope you can get some guppies. Those are rad. My elementary school friends and I took a trip with our class to a pet store and together we split the cost to get some guppies (gold fish). Of course, they put me in charge of feeding them every day as it was a hassle to take it back and forth to school to share among us. -_-. That plan obviously back fired on all us.

Good luck with the new job!

  3. Congrats on the new job! I think that’s amazing that you’re able to juggle two jobs and class. That sounds nice to be splitting costs with your sister. Seems like it’d save you a lot of money 🙂

And good job on paying down your debt! That’s great that you’ve paid off one card and are working off the others. I hope you’ll reach your goal of being debt free next year! Good luck!

  4. Congrats on closing a lot of those credit cards! ^^ That’s amazing you can juggle class and two jobs! I can’t do that. I can’t even do much nowadays. I lost my job when I got into my accident. Boohooooo
